Palm Springs is asking residents and businesses for their views regarding a proposed ordinance that would reduce disposable food ware and single-use plastic waste.
The issue will be discussed during two online discussions later this month and one in September, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“City Council and Staff welcome resident feedback to improve the potential ordinance and to identify creative solutions to the challenge of food ware and plastic pollution,” the statement reads.
The sessions are scheduled to be held via Zoom at 8 a.m., Aug. 25, noon Aug. 26, and 6 p.m. Sept. 1. Residents can participate by joining the Zoom links posted at www.yoursustainablecity.
Registration is not required.
