San Bernardino County looks to fill civil grand jury

San Bernardino County is accepting applications for its next civil grand jury.

Those accepted will serve from Jan. 1, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2026, according to a statement on the county’s website.

A civil grand jury investigates all aspects of the county, including cities and special districts. It can also deal with criminal investigations.

Service involves an average of three to five full working days per week, which is compensated at $60 per day plus mileage. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of San Bernardino County for at least one year. They must also speak English.

Interested parties should apply online. Deadline to apply is July 31.
