Alaska Airlines will soon begin non-stop service from Palm Springs International Airport to San Jose, Reno/Lake Tahoe, Nevada and Boise, Idaho.
Starting Dec. 17, the airline will offer daily flights to San Jose and Boise and five flights weekly to Reno/Lake Tahoe, according to a statement.
All of the routes will be offered year-round.
“As demand for leisure travel returns, for those ready to fly the coup, we’re excited to offer even more nonstop routes this winter,” said Brett Catlin, Alaska Airlines’ managing director of capacity and alliance, in the statement.
“We’ve long offered nonstop flights to some of the most popular vacation destinations from Southern California, and we continue to see demand for our unique low fare, high quality experience.”
Despite COVID-19, Palm Springs International is adding flights. Less than one month ago, Southwest Airlines announced that it would begin running flights in and out of Palm Springs International later this year.
