A company similar to Uber and Lyft is operating at Ontario International Airport.
Wingz drivers are giving curbside service to arriving and departing passengers at both of Ontario International’s terminals, according to a statement posted on the airport’s website.
“We are pleased to welcome Wingz to Ontario,” said Atif Elkadi, Ontario International’s deputy chief executive officer, in the statement. “We work hard to understand and meet the needs of our customers and the new Wingz service adds nicely to our efforts to deliver a positive, stress-free customer service experience for leisure and business travelers.”
Passengers may book a reservation with Wingz up to two months in advance, at a fixed rate, and request their own driver.
San Francisco-based Wingz operates rides in 30 major cities via a mobile app. It will travel anywhere in the cities where it does business but focuses on airports.
Lyft is still available at Ontario International, but Uber stopped operating there one year ago.
