A drive-thru COVID-19 test site has been established at Ontario International Airport.
The facility was set up Monday in parking lot 3 between terminals 2 and 4 and will remain open daily through Jan. 3, 2021, according to a statement on the airport’s website.
Tests are administered by Covid Clinic, a non-profit which operates test sites in California and Arizona. Ontario International is the company’s 24th location.
Test results are available in about 20 minutes.
“The availability of COVID-19 testing adds a new level of service and convenience to the Ontario airport experience,” said Mark Thorpe, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority, in the statement. “It is our hope that on-site testing administered in the comfort of a passenger vehicle will provide peace of mind to our customers, guests and airport employees.”
Reservation can be made at www.covidclinic.org.
Thanksgiving holiday travel began Friday and will last through Nov. 30. It is expected to bring more than 100,000 air travelers through Ontario International, based on current airline schedules.
