Stephens receives honorary doctorate

Jean M. Stephens has been awarded an honorary doctorate of humane letters by Cal State University, San Bernardino.

Stephens, a ’91 CSUSB Alumna, is global chief executive officer of RSM International Limited, a worldwide global accounting network that specialize in audit, tax and consulting services, according to a statement on the university’s website.

“Jean Stephens is the first woman to lead a top 10 global accounting network,” said university President Tomás D. Morales in the statement. “We are so proud of her continual success and are honored to award her with an honorary degree.

“Her outstanding efforts and leadership as a chief executive reflect her hard work, dedication and determination.”

Stephens, who graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a degree in finance, will receive her honorary degree when it is safe, according to the statement.
