Stater Bros. Believe Walk will again be virtual

For the second consecutive year, Stater Bros. Charities Believe Walk will be a virtual event.

This year’s “walk,” scheduled for Oct. 3, will again raise money for local cancer-fighting organizations, according to a statement released this week.

A virtual kick-off event will be live-streamed at 9:00 a.m. on Facebook @believewalk and BelieveWalk.com., The live stream will include announcements of virtual activity/challenge winners and top fundraising teams/fundraisers.

The free event will include activities for registered participants, including a photo scavenger hunt, a 30-day fitness challenge, and a pet photo/video challenge. Participants can earn exclusive Believe Walk rewards as they reach fundraising milestones.

“Although we will not be in person this year, we are committed to caring for cancer patients in our communities,” said Nancy Negrette, chairman, and president of Stater Bros. Charities. “Cancer doesn’t take a break during a pandemic.”
