Construction has begun on a 135-room hotel in Rialto.
Ayres Hotel Rialto is being built at Linden and Renaissance Parkway next to the Foothill Freeway.
When finished, the hotel will be part of Renaissance Marketplace, a master-planned community being developed by the Lewis Cos. in Upland.
The hotel will have 3,750 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. It will be the company’s 26th hotel and its ninth in the Inland Empire.
“Ayres looks forward to serving the needs of the community, its corporate and leisure guests,” said Don Ayres company spokesman, in a statement. “[The hotel] will serve as a job stimulator and training ground for young hospitality professionals in the area.”
