Rancho Cucamonga welcomes BofA into green business program

 Bank of America has joined Rancho Cucamonga’s Green Business Recognition Program, which acknowledges businesses committed to environmentally safe practices.

Bank of America, which has incorporated many green practice into its operations is the first financial institution to become part of the program, according to statement on the city’s website.

Those practices include reducing waste products, investing in durable products, conserving water and improving energy efficiency.

“Rancho Cucamonga is delighted to have Bank of America participate in the Green Business Recognition Program,” said Deborah Allen, management analyst with the city, in the statement. “Its efforts to incorporate environmental measures, internally as well as at a national level, are admirable.”

Bank of America has helped improve the environment through its $1 trillion strategy to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon sustainable economy. It has also addressed other areas, including water conservation, land use and waste, according to the statement.
