Diego Chavez has taken over as Murrieta’s administrative services director.
Chavez, who has worked in personnel management for 20 years, was most recently Rancho Santa Margarita’s human resources and risk management administrator, according to a statement on Murrieta’s website.
“Murrieta is a thriving city with a rich history and shared values,” Chavez said in the statement. “I am humbled and excited to join the executive team as the next administrative services director.”
Chavez is in charge of human resources, risk management and information technology services. He will also help compile the department’s budget, and coordinate activities with other city departments, outside agencies and the public, according to the statement.
