Two members of the Chaffey Community College District Governing Board have begun four-year terms.
Kathleen Brugger, board clerk and board member Deana Olivares-Lambert were sworn in recently, having run unopposed in the June 7 primary election, according to a statement.
“As we emerge from the pandemic, Chaffey College will play a vital role in the region’s economic recovery,” said Henry Shannon, the school’s superintendent-president, in the statement. “I am confident that both of these ladies will help us to successfully fulfill our mission.”
Brugger, who represents Rancho Cucamonga, has served on the board since 1993. Before that she spent 16 years as a member of the Ontario-Montclair School District board of trustees.
Olivares-Lambert was appointed to the board in 2020. She represents Upland and Montclair.
