Stater Bros. Markets will open a supermarket in Chino, its first store opening in nearly one year.
The store at 8373 Pine Ave. will host a grand opening ceremony which is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Sept. 20, after which the store will open to the public, according to a statement.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held, the Chino Hills High School Band will perform and Stater Bros. Charities will donate $25,000 to several local nonprofits, including the Chino Police Officers’ Foundation, Elmer C. Jertberg American Legion Post 299 and The Let It Be Foundation.
The 46,109 square-foot store at the southeast corner of Pine Avenue and Main Street anchors the Town Center at the Preserve, a neighborhood shopping center developed by Lewis Retail Centers in Upland.
Nearly 175 people will work there. This is the company’s first supermarket opening since September, when opened a store at 7200 Arlington Ave. in Riverside.
San Bernardino-based is one the largest private employers with its headquarters in the Inland Empire. It owns and operates nearly 170 stores and employs an estimated 18,000 people throughout Southern California, according to the statement.
If the store is in the City of Chino ..
Why is Chino Hills High School Band performing ? Shouldn’t a school from the City OF CHINO represent their city?
Sour Grapes because the Center of the City the z north side is so forgotten and neglected !
Thank you Stater Bros. Now maybe I can go shopping at your Euclid store , find a parking space and not have to get a rain check for every sale item.
