Benihana, the Japanese teppanyaki and sushi restaurant chain, will open this month in Temecula.
The restaurant, at 26420 Ynez Road near the Promenade Temecula, will be the chain’s first in Riverside County and its 12th in Southern California, according to a statement on the company’s website.
The 8,200-square-foot restaurant at Winchester and Ynez roads will include a cocktail bar and 21 teppanyaki tables, where chefs will prepare meals while patrons look on.
“Temecula is the perfect place for Benihana to deliver on our mission of creating great guest memories,” said Tom Baldwin, Benihana’s president and chief executive officer, in the statement. “We’re thrilled to be a part of the Temecula community.”
Based in Aventura, Fla., Benihana owns 68 Japanese teppanyaki restaurants – and franchises 11 more – in the United States, Caribbean, and Central and South America, according to the company’s website.
