Auto dealership to move

The Upland City Council has approved an agreement that will allow Ford of Upland to move to a larger location.

The council on Monday unanimously agreed to give back a portion of the annual sales tax revenue generated by the dealership’s sales for eight years, according to a report in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

Ford of Upland will move from the 500 block on West Foothill Boulevard to a 5.5-acre lot north of the Foothill Freeway east of Campus Avenue.

The agency is one of top sales tax producers in the city. Upland will give back no more than $1 million in sales tax revenue, according to report.
