Stater Bros. Charities and PepsiCo have donated $50,000 to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, which provides college scholarships and counseling to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
Officials with both companies made the presentation March 28 at Stater Bros.’ headquarters in San Bernardino, where the soft drink company’s 9th annual Rolling Remembrance stopped, according to a statement released by Stater Bros. Charities.
Rolling Remembrance is 14,000-mile cross country relay that honors military personnel who died while serving the United States. The trip begins in Seattle and ends at PepsiCo.’s headquarter in Purchase, New York.
This year’s journey is scheduled to conclude May 23. Along the way, the relay will stop at different points and pass off a flag that first flew on a UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Since 2017, Stater Bros. and PepsiCo partnership have donated the equivalent of 56 years of college for Fallen Patriots’ students, according to the statement.
