Temporary workers at Skechers facility laid off

A temporary employment agency that specializes in Inland Empire warehouse-distribution jobs is withdrawing more than 700 of its workers from the Skechers USA Inc. factory store in Moreno Valley.

TeamOne made that decision after Skechers ended its contract with the staffing agency due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to a letter TeamOne submitted May 18 to the state Employment Development Department.

Based in Manhattan Beach, Skechers makes casual footwear and clothing that is sold worldwide. It owns and operates the factory store – a combined store and warehouse-distribution facility – at 29800 Eucalyptus Ave., next to the 60 Freeway.

It’s not known why Skechers ended the contract, or how many TeamOne employees will remain at the facility.

TeamOne is based in Moreno Valley.
