Matt Shoemaker has been named Moreno Valley’s 2014 Volunteer of the Year.
Shoemaker, who wants to work as a film editor, was recognized recently for the city’s “Pets of the Week” program, according to a city release.
The program, hosted by the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter and the MVTV-3 channel, is broadcast weekly. The goal is to find a home for each of the animals featured on the program.
Shoemaker films, edits and writes the script for each program, according to the release.
