The Inland Empire will have nearly 70,000 construction jobs during 2020.
That’s the prediction of state Employment Development Department, which based its forecast on historical trends matched up against a prediction it made six years ago, according to a report originally published in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
If that forecast proves to be true, it would represent a 16 percent growth rate in construction employment for the Inland region during the next four years. That would still leave the region well short of its June 2006 peak, when it had more than 132,000 construction jobs, according to the report.
