A company that specializes in transporting furniture has leased an industrial building in Moreno Valley that it will use for warehousing and distribution.
Wiseway Transportation Services will occupy the 187,800-square-foot building at 24901 San Michele Road beginning Monday, according to a statement on the city’s website.
About 15 people will work at the building initially, with more workers expected to be hired, said Mike Hakes, director of operations for Wiseway Transportation.
The building is near similar logistics facilities in the city’s south industrial corridor operated by Amazon, Harbor Freight Tools, Phillips Electronics and Procter & Gamble, among other companies.
Wiseway Transportation, which signed a 69-month lease on the building, is based in Hudson, Wis. This will be the company’s only Inland Empire logistics operation, Hakes said.
The building was developed by First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. in Chicago, which owns and operates industrial real estate properties throughout North America.
