Corona has a new information technology director.
Chris McMasters, who spent more than 20 years working in the private sector with Honeyville, Inc., was hired from 166 potential candidates after a national search, according to a statement posted Thursday on the city’s website.
McMasters, who began his new duties last month, is credited with having helped that company go from $40 million to almost $200 million in revenues.
“We are excited for Chris to use his vast experience to assist us in developing a data driven, smart city by adding private sector efficiency to our public domain,” City Manager Darrell Talbert said in the statement.
