Gil Salazar has been named vice president of information technology for Stater Bros. Markets.
A 27-year veteran of the IT field, Salazar has worked for Hyundai Capital America, Ford Motor Credit, Partners Consulting and ConAgra Foods Inc. according to a statement.
Salazar began his new position Tuesday.
“We are pleased to welcome Gil to the Stater Bros. family of employees,” said Pete Van Helden, the company’s president and chief executive officer, in the statement. “His broad range of IT experience and leadership brings new opportunities, which will allow Stater Bros. to meet the current and future needs of our customers.”
Stater Bros. is the largest private employer in the Inland Empire and the largest privately owned supermarket chain in Southern California, with 168 stores and more than 18,000 employees, according to the statement.
