San Bernardino County is stepping up its effort to gather information from residents of unincorporated communities.
Starting in September and ending next January, county officials will be “out in the field” soliciting input in a series of workshops in 15 communities, the first seven of which have already been scheduled: Angelus Oaks, Homestead Valley, Lytle Creek, Morongo Valley, Mt. Baldy, Pioneertown and San Antonio Heights, according to a statement.
Sessions will also be held in Baker, Daggett, El Mirage, Newberry Springs, Oak Hills, Oro Grande, Wrightwood and Yermo, according to the statement.
County officials want to know the public’s opinion regarding what they like and don’t like about where they live and work, as well as how they feel about the future of their communities.
Based on what they learn, county officials will update community plans or write news plans.
During the past eight months, county officials have met with more than 1,000 people at a series workshops in unincorporated communities, according to the statement.
