The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations broke ground Wednesday on an expansion of the Air and Marine Operations Center at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside.
The facility, a multi-domain law enforcement operation that detects and observes suspicious air and ocean activity, will be enlarged by approximately 22,000 square feet, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The $11 million project, which will create more space for equipment and personnel, will take about one year to complete, according to a statement.
