Moreno Valley and GO-Biz, formally known as the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, are holding a California Competes Tax Credit Workshop.
Officials from small, medium and large businesses are encouraged to attend the event, which will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Moreno Valley City Hall Council Chambers, 14177 Frederick St., according to a statement on the city’s website.
The California Competes Tax Credit is an income tax credit that’s available to businesses that want to move to California or expand if they’re already located here. Any business is eligible to apply for one of the tax credits.
Twenty five percent of the tax credits are reserved for small businesses.
The next application periods runs from Jan. 2 to Jan. 23 next year, according to the statement.
