Stater Bros. has expanded its Instacart online grocery ordering and home delivery service into Orange County.
The service, which began in San Francisco in 2012, connects customers to local shoppers via the Internet, according to a statement.
After the customer places an order, the shopper handpicks those items and delivers them straight to the customer’s door.
Stater Bros.’ Instacart service is now available at 26 Stater Bros.’ stores in Orange County. Residents in 74 Orange County zip codes can now use Stater Bros.’ Instacart service.
All Instacart orders must exceed $10. Delivery fee is $5.99 for delivery within two hours and $7.99 for delivery within one hour if the order exceeds $35, according to statement.
Stater Bros, the largest private employer based in the Inland Empire, has also announced that it plans to open a full-service supermarket in Tustin Ranch this fall.
