Stater Bros. honors local employees

Stater Bros. Markets recently recognized employees who have reached milestone years with the company.

Four hundred and seven workers were honored during a ceremony April 22 at the Riverside Convention Center, including four who have been with the supermarket chain for 45 years, according to a statement.

The 45-year honorees were Gilbert Ceballos, truck driver; Kurt Heckroth and Wayne Mackinnon, store managers and Robert Martinez, a store clerk

Twenty eight employees were honored for 40 years service, 21 for 35 years, 137 for 30 service, 77 for 25 years and 140 for 20 years with the company, according to the statement.

“I am proud that so many employees have chosen to make Stater Bros. their career,” said Pete Van Helden, the company’s president and chief executive officer, in the statement. “In my 40 years in the grocery industry, I’ve never seen such a loyal team – dedicated to the mission of serving their Company, customers and community – like our Stater Bros. ‘Family’.”
