On The Move

Vito LoVerde has been named environmental services director at Pechanga Resort & Casino.

LoVerde, who has held similar positions in Chicago and Las Vegas, will oversee 200 employees and be responsible for keeping the property clean and safe, according to a statement on the resort’s website.

The resort, which is owned and operated by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians, is undergoing a $285 million expansion that is expected to be finished by the end of this year. Those improvements will include 568 rooms and suites, 70,000 square feet to accommodate indoor events, a two-story spa and salon, two restaurants and a 4.5-acre pool complex, according to the statement.
