Starting in October, Frontier Airlines will add four flights a week from Ontario International Airport to San Antonio International Airport.
Those planes will continue to Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., according to a statement released by Ontario International Airport.
Because of previously announced flights, Frontier’s new service will make it possible to travel from Ontario International to the nation’s capital seven days a week without having to change planes.
“We knew Frontier would find a happy home at Ontario,” said Alan D. Wapner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority, in the statement. “That the airline is already adding more service from Ontario is a testament to how warmly the Inland Empire has welcomed our newest airline partner.”
Frontier will operate the San Antonio-Washington service every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Once the new flights are up and running, Frontier will serve five cities out of Ontario International. Thirteen more destinations are also available via connections through Denver, Frontier’s hub city.
Frontier announced last month that it will begin operating flights from Ontario International to Denver and Austin starting in October, and to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago beginning next spring, according to the statement.
