Industrial bus tour on tap

NAIOP Inland Empire is getting ready for its annual bus tour of industrial properties in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, with this year’s format set be a little different than last year’s.

Rather than tour four zones, this year’s caravan will tour five, with the Perris-Moreno Valley sector from last year being divided in two, said Robert Evans, executive director of the local NAIOP chapter.

One reason for the change is the large volume of industrial development in Perris and Moreno Valley, but two smaller zones should shorten the bus rides on that part of the tour to about one hour, Evans said.

Registration is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 at Big Al’s in Ontario, 4120 E. Fourth St. Buses will begin loading at 11 a.m., with a lunch stop during the tour.

About 300 people are expected to participate. Cost is $50 for chapter members, $100 for non-members and $35 for “developing leaders” 35 years and younger.

Deadline to apply is Oct. 26. For more information visit www.naiopie.com.
