Historic Hotels of America, which is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, has given its 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to Duane and Kelly Roberts, owners of the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside.
The award recognizes individuals who help preserve historic hotels throughout the United States, according to a statement.
This year’s award will be presented during a gala ceremony scheduled to be held Sept. 28 in Hot Springs, Va.
“Duane and Kelly Roberts have contributed significantly to the preservation, restoration, recognition and celebration of The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa,” the statement reads. “Since their purchase of this legendary historic hotel in 1992, they have re-invested all operational profits back into the hotel to continue its legacy.”
