Employers in California added 52,200 non-agricultural jobs in September, as the state’s unemployment rate remained at 5.1 percent.
California has now added more than 2.6 million jobs since the economic recovery began in February 2010, the state Employment Development Department reported.
The state’s unemployment rate was down 0.2 percent year-over-year.
Riverside and San Bernardino counties recorded unemployment rates of 5.6 and five percent, respectively. Neither of those figures was seasonally adjusted.
