County headquarters named after supervisor

A  portion of Riverside County’s headquarters will be named after Supervisor John Tavaglione.

The board of supervisors voted Tuesday to name the County Administrative Center Annex after Tavaglione, who has served on the board for more than 20 years, according to multiple reports.

In a statement, Tavaglione called it “a special honor” to be recognized by his fellow board members.

Tavaglione is the longest-serving supervisor, having first been elected to that board in November 1994. He represents the second district, which includes most of Riverside along with  Corona, Norco, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley and several unincorporated communities.

Tavaglione’s current term ends at the end of next year. He is not running for reelection.
