Eastvale looks to build civic center, commercial and residential project

Adelanto retail center gets started

Construction has begun on a neighborhood retail center in Adelanto.

Adelanto Towne Center’s first phase will be two buildings, that combined cover 10,000 square feet, according to Lewis Retail Retail Centers in Upland, the project’s developer.

Poppy Express Wash and Poppy Fuel will occupy both buildings which are expected to be completed next summer.

Ultimately, the two-phase project at the southwest corner of Highway 395 and Mojave Drive is expected to have eight tenants and cover 56,000 square feet.

“We are excited to finally bring this project to life and to the community of Adelanto,” said Ken Caron, senior vice president of commercial development for Lewis Retail Centers, in a statement.

Highway 395 connects Interstate 15 to the Southern California Logistics Centre, which has warehouse-distribution facilities that range from 2,000 square feet to more than one million square feet, and the 2,300-acre Southern California Logistics airport, according to the statement.

  1. In need of groceries stores not more gas stations !!

  2. This community doesn’t need anymore gas stations we need things that will help the community laundry mats, grocery store, and quality restaurants to sit and eat at besides traveling to the other side of town to Victorville for Restaurant Row. Bowling alley would be good for entertainment or a roller
    skate center

  3. I live 4 blocks from that project and my closest Winco Foods store is 5 miles away but you decided that washing my car was my top priority? Doesn’t make any sense.

  4. We really need a grocery store in our community having to drive to Palmdale road or further is very inconvenient. We have 6 or 7 gas stations only 1 decent laundromat and like 4 places to eat where you can sit down but they are so expensive. What do we need a car wash and gas station for??

  5. I lived in this city for 23 years ,we need help grocery shopping ,a car wash what about dealer ship 99 only clothing store everyone doesn’t like wearing Walmart clothes and shoes who ever planning our business needs to rethink plans they have no clue of our needs

  7. We really need a Wells Fargo Bank and a Grocery store , or Costco store, we don’t Ned’s any more gas stations or car wash place.

  8. We don’t need a car wash! How is that helping the community? A nice restaurant would be nice or more grocery stores, recreation park would be wonderful too for kids in this community to help them stay out of trouble!

  9. People of Adelanto community need more grocery stores health food stores also Whole Foods sprouts community park needs remodeling new community center for the kids assistant living homes for the elderly. In order to generate more funds for the city you have to invest in the community so most people won’t have to leave their own city and spend money elsewhere in another city .It’s time for change city needs to be modernized. I know with inflation many people are uprooting here and investing buyers and renters let’s show our community you care stop the corruption and let’s get more honest people on city council because I’m tired of traveling down the hill or to other cities many miles away because there’s not enough choices in Adelanto
