A 36-home affordable housing development is under construction in Moreno Valley.
Linwood Rose is being developed on two parcels that cover nearly one acre at 24108 and 24124 Fir Ave., according to a statement on the city’s website.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held April 2.
The project will consist of one three-story building, and will be for families and individuals who earn 30 to 40 percent of the area’s median income. Special needs cases will be given priority.
Rancho Belago Development, Inc., and Kingdom Development are the developers. Cost, and a construction timeline, were not disclosed.
“I’m proud to see this investment in housing that truly meets the needs of our community,” said Councilman Elena Baca-Santa Cruz said in the statement. “Linwood Rose will provide not only a place to live, but a supportive environment where residents can access critical services, build stability, and feel a sense of belonging.”
