San Bernardino County has begun scheduling vaccinations for residents who work in food and agriculture.
That move comes after shot have been administered to people in healthcare, and following “impressive progress” inoculating first responders, educators and their support staff, childcare providers and senior citizens, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“The county’s vaccination program is running smoothly, now our main challenge is simply getting enough doses from the state to meet demand,” said Curt Hagman, board of supervisors chairman, in the statement “We’re shifting our focus to the individuals who have been on the frontlines since the pandemic began: those helping ensure we all have the food we need.”
Eligible workers may visit the vaccination section of the County’s COVID-19 website to schedule an appointment. County-run vaccination sites are not the only places to receive a vaccine, so anyone interested should check with pharmacies, state-run sites and their doctor about setting up an inoculation.
