Apartments slated for Ontario

Construction is expected to start next summer on a 75-unit apartment complex in Ontario.

Hallmark at Mission will be developed at Mission Boulevard and South Magnolia Avenue, a parcel now occupied by a storage facility, said Andrew Salter, associate land advisor with WD Land in Irvine, which is marketing the project.

R.C. Hobbs Co. in Irvine is the developer.

When completed, the four-story project near Ontario International Airport will consist of one and two-bedrooms units that will rent for $1,400 to $1,800 a month, Salter said.

“There’s a lot of development going on in that area,” said Salter, who said the site is ready for grading and that the project’s entitlement process is expected to be completed in November. “This project will be a good compliment to the other things that are going in there.”
