Arrowhead Regional MC wins award

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center has received the Gold Level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

The award “recognizes unit caregivers who successfully improve patient outcomes and align practices with [the association’s] Healthy Work Environment Standards,” according to a statement on Riverside County’s website.

The medical center’s 4-North Medical Intensive Career Unit earned the award for patient outcomes, working environment and nursing workforce.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a 456-bed university-affiliated teaching hospital.  It is licensed by the state Department of Public Health, operated by San Bernardino County, and governed by the board of supervisors, according to the statement.
