Elena Baca-Santa Cruz has been appointed Moreno Valley’s Mayor Pro Tem.
Elected on the city council 2022, Baca-Santa Cruz serves on several city committees, including the Environmental & Historical Preservation Board and the Utilities Commission, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Baca-Santa Cruz, who has worked in public education for more than 10 years, also represents the city at the Western Riverside Council of Governments.
“Elena Baca-Santa Cruz has been a member of the City Council for a number of years, bringing experience and commitment to her work,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “I’m glad to see her take on the role of Mayor Pro Tem.”
