Pardee Homes Inland Empire has broken ground on Atwell, the first master-planned community in Banning in more than 20 years.
The project’s first phase will include 480 homes, two commercial retail pads and a site for a kindergarten through sixth grade school, according to a statement.
Ultimately, Atwell – located in the San Gorgonio Pass near Interstate 10 – will have 4,400 single-family homes – approximately 40 neighborhoods – on 1,528 acres Lots are expected to range from 1,800 to 2,600 square feet.
The first homes are expected to open in January 2020, with first occupancy about for months later. Prices were not released.
“As demand for housing in the Inland Empire remains strong, this is the right timing to begin phase one of Atwell,” said Mike Taylor, division president of Pardee Homes Inland Empire, in the statement.
Pardee Homes is based in Pasadena. It develop single-family homes and master-planned communities in Southern California and greater Las Vegas, according to then company’s website.
