Mike Bean is the new chief executive officer of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa and the Morongo Casino.
A 30-year gaming employee, Bean is in charge of both gaming locations, both of which are owned and operated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, according to a statement.
He replaces Richard St. Jean, who spent five years on the job before retiring last year.
Bean has held senior positions at some of the best-know gaming establishments in the United States, including Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods Resort Casino, and Harrah’s Entertainment.
Most recently, Bean was chief executive officer of Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment.
At Desert Diamond, he oversaw planning and development, most notably the opening of its fifth casino.
“Mike’s experience in tribal gaming and hospitality makes him an ideal fit for this role,” said Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin in the statement. “He brings a deep understanding of the industry and a proven ability to lead teams toward continued success. We are confident that his strategic vision and operational expertise will help Morongo achieve new heights as we continue to enhance our offerings and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.”
