Major housing development takes shape in Eastvale

New homes planned for Apple Valley

A Texas-based homebuilder will develop 128 single-family homes in Apple Valley.

Ocotilla Ranch will be built by LGI Homes, which constructs homes priced for first-time homebuyers, according to a statement on the High Desert town’s website.

The Apple Valley project will offer five floor plans and be built on lots that range from 18,000 to 29,000 square feet.

Apple Valley officials and LGI representatives recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the community’s new model home and sales office near Central Road and Standing Rock Avenue.

“These homes are arriving at a great time,” said Mayor Scott Nassif in the statement. “With the industrial development booming in north Apple Valley, more people are choosing to live closer to where they work. Ocotilla Ranch helps meet that demand.”

Exact prices, and a construction timeline, have not been announced.

LGI Homes is based in The Woodlands, Texas, an unincorporated community near Houston. Since its founding in 2003, LGI Homes has developed more than 75,000 homes, according to the company’s website.

  1. 128 new homes in Apple Valley where roads are two lane in most cases few grocery stores out here, fewer gas stations and only a handful of eateries that are close to this location where they plan this I think it’s a mistake because the infrastructure of this little town was not built for to add large development to it land.
