Frito-Lay facility in Rancho Cucamonga closes

A Frito-Lay manufacturing plant in Rancho Cucamonga has closed.

Employees at the facility at 9535 Archibald Ave. were told June 9 that the facility was shutting down, according to multiple reports.

The plant opened in 1970. It produced many of Frito-Lays’s snacks, including the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, which it began making 35 years ago.

Those who lost their jobs reportedly received 10 weeks’ pay as severance. The shuttered facility includes warehouse, distribution and transportation units, according to reports.

  1. Why no “reason” for this plant closure? Employees told only a few days before. Plant running for 35yrs. What’s up with that? Where’s Gov Newsome? Can’t be lack of sales. Most populated St. in US.

  2. So sad. 🙁
