Beaumont shopping center changes hands

Brixton Capital, a real estate investment firm in Solana Beach, has purchased Marketplace Beaumont, a 187,851-square-foot shopping center in Beaumont.

The seller was FJ Hanshaw Trust in Garden Grove, who sold the retail project for an undisclosed sum in an off-market transaction, according to a statement released this week.

Located at 1604, 1642, and 1693 E. Second St. the shopping center can be reached easily from Interstate 10. It’s 92 percent leased, and its national tenants include Aldi, Petco, Ross, Best Buy, Taco Bell, Starbucks, and Bank of America

JLL represented Brixton in the transaction. FJ Hanshaw Trust represented itself.

Brixton owns and operates a portfolio worth more than $1.3 billion. It includes more than 10 million square feet of retail, multi-family, office, and land investments in the United States and Europe, according to the statement.
