Eric Bishop has been named interim president of Riverside City College.
Bishop has more than 20 years of administrative and teaching experience, most recently as interim vice chancellor of the Riverside Community College District, a position he’s held since July, according to a statement on Riverside City College’s website.
Before that Bishop was interim vice president of enrollment management at the University of La Verne, where he helped reverse a decade-long enrollment decline. He also led Ohlone College in Fremont as its superintendent/president.
“Bishop’s leadership experience and long-standing commitment to community colleges make him an ideal fit for Riverside City College,” the statement reads. “He will continue to advance (the school’s) mission of excellence, access and student achievement.
