Kevin Brown has been elected first vice president of the National Association of Realtors.
An Oakland resident who served as president of the California Association of Realtors in 2014, Brown’s selection was announced May 11 during the association’s legislative meetings in Washington, D.C, according to statement.
“I am well-positioned to lead our organization by providing more homeownership opportunities and forms of financing for the underserved,” Brown said in the statement. “I’ll also work to find more ways of producing housing inventory.
“My primary goal is to provide the opportunity of homeownership for all, while helping to secure a solid middle class.”
Brown has more than 44 years of experience as a real estate broker. He has served in multiple leadership positions for different trade associations besides the Los Angeles-based CAR, including the National Association of Realtors, according to the statement.
