Wendell Bugtai has been named Perris’ assistant city manager.
Bugtai has more than 20 years of experience in local government, having worked in planning, project management and community development, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Bugtai began working in Riverside County in 2007, holding several positions in its transportation land management agency. Since 2019, Bugtai has been a land use policy advisor in the county’s second district.
He was named Perris’ assistant city manager late last month.
“I’m looking forward to serving the city of Perris and even more excited to be working with the city council and city staff to accomplish things moving forward.” Bugtai said in the statement. “I believe [Perris] will be a major player, not just in the commercial, industrial and residential areas, but also in the quality-of-life area as well.”
