Cal Baptist University welcomed 11,045 students for its fall semester, an all-time record for the school.
That was an increase of 559 students – 5.3 percent – compared to last year, when 10,486 students signed up to take classes on the Riverside campus, President Ronald L. Ellis said in a statement.
The number of full-time students – 11,391 – for the fall semester was seven percent higher than last year.
Ellis announced the latest record enrollment at the regular fall meeting of the CBU Board of Trustees. In the previous three years, Cal Baptist’s enrollment increased by 610, 698 and 618 students, respectively.
Counting this year, the school’s enrollment has grown 169 percent in the last 10 years, a figure based on the 4,150 students enrolled in the fall of 2009.
Founded in 1950, Cal Baptist University is a affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, according to the statement.
