California Baptist University in Riverside has been ranked among the fastest-growing colleges in the United States.
The school’s enrollment growth between 2006 and 2016 – from 3,409 students to 9,157, or 168.6 percent – was the eighth-largest in the United States during that time, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Those findings were published in the Chronicle’s 2018-’19 almanac, which was released Friday.
California Baptist released a statement on those findings Monday.
California Baptist was among 392 non-profit schools that were classified as masters colleges and universities by Carnegie. In that group, the average enrollment growth during that 10-year period was 15.7 percent, according to the statement.
