Ontario-based Cardenas Markets will distribute toys at its Phoenix and and Las Vegas stores this Saturday.
Starting at 8 a.m., those locations are scheduled to begin giving holiday gifts to children for as long supplies last, according to a statement released by the Cardenas Markets Foundation, the company’s charitable division.
Toys will be distributed first-come, first-served. All children who receive a gift must be accompanied by an adult.
The foundation is also donating a total of $50,000 to several organizations that help children in need, including Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cathedral City and the Coachella Valley.
“Not only is Cardenas Markets dedicate to brightening the holidays for local children, but we are also committed to helping the most vulnerable children in the neighborhoods where we operate,” said Adam Salgado, foundation president, in the statement.
