A 102-year-old construction company has opened an office in Ontario.
Granite Construction Inc., which recently received a $25 million contract to refurbish nine industrial buildings near Ontario International Airport, has established a 6,000-square-foot facility at 3281 E. Guasti Road, according to company officials.
The number of employees working there was not disclosed.
Based in Watsonville, Granite is a full-service construction company. It has overseen multiple projects in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, including the $17 million Perris Logistics Center North project and the $22 million expansion of the Moreno Valley/March Field Metrolink Station.
Currently, Granite’s Indio office is in charge of its Inland Empire projects. Work on the Ontario project will start next month, with the first four buildings expected to be completed next year, according to a statement.
